People I have met
I have met some of the greatest people in this country through my involvement with the Greens. I have met some of my heros and people who should be put on the highest pedistal. I have met wonderful people from the four corners of our nation: Morgan in Maine, Echo in Florida, Julie and Bob from Hawaii, and Russell and Diedra from Alaska.
It is not the bickering and endless meetings that I miss since I left the party, it is the people.
Doesn't anybody like....
...dispelling myths about Greens? C'mon, I know you all do it all the time.
Educating non-Greens
Jen's Green Journal
I voted for saving the world, but I do kind of like educating people who have never heard of the Green Party. I wear a button that says "Green Pary - Peace Party" and that sometimes brings up the question about what Greens believe in. I love that because the 10 Key Values are pretty awesome to talk about.
It's the people, silly
I voted for "meeting cool people from far away". I think the most inspiring time I have had recently was at the Natonal Meeting in Tulsa last summer, my first national convention. It was an awesome experience. It was neat to put faces to names, to interact, to hear stories, to share techniques and strategies, to brainstorm, and to party (!). I am looking forward to this year's convention when I can see everyone again and meet new delegates.
