Where to learn about the Green Party of Wisconsin

In the first substantive change to the design of this site in most of a year, I've added Ron Hardy's site, Babblemur, to the list of sites whose feed I pipe in. We'll see how long it takes him to notice. It's now 8:00 PM on January 18th. I'll know he's noticed, not when he tells me so, but when he fixes the link on his site that points here.

Ron, who is one of our state party co-chairs, shares the site with "Akaoni" and "Rexusnexus," and, truth be told, I don't have the faintest idea who they are. But, between the three of them, they do a nice job blending local, state, and national issues of interest to Greens. But don't take my word for it. Check it out, immediately to the right. And tell Ron to fix that link. And the other blogs who don't point to chlorophyll.us, too!

60 minutes

I was wondering where the hell your site had gone to, I thought you just went down!

Time: 60 minutes.

And to dish some back on details (like broken links and spelling) could you fix the spelling over there to the right ->

Fixed!

Sorry about that.

Pretty good time!

No, this site has never gone down entirely, though it did freeze up for a couple of days at the beginning of this month while I was transferring it to a new server. The problem is, a lot of sites linked to it when it was very new, and was basically a subset of another site. I broke it loose after a fairly short time, but the old address still worked, so folks never saw a need to update their links. Now they'll need to. We'll see how long it takes the rest to figure it out...

update your entry in...

... the Green Blog Roll at http://www.greencommons.org/greenbloggers/
which still points to the fairlyinformed URL.

I tried

Even though I'm an admin there, I can't figure out how to access that link. I'm going to have to ask commoner1 to do it for me.

Steve, I don't know if this

Steve,

I don't know if this is something you would be interested in or not, but with the "categories" attached to my blog posts it may be possible for you to set up an RSS feed on just tags for "Green Party" off my blog. It doesn't matter to me, but I wouldn't want your readers to get turned off by my incessant obsessions with superheros, queers, and David Bowie (My Queer Hero). Nor my occasional infatuation with American Idol and other less-idealistic and non-social reforming content. Oh the humanity creeps out in me, like you I presume.

I'll look into it.

Yes, I have the occasional guilty pleasure, but American Idol is not one. I'll see what I can do about narrowing down the feed. That's not something I've done before, but I'm always up for learning new things!

Not looking good.

I can't find a way to narrow the feed. The URL only takes one command at a time. Ideas?

Should be something like

Should be something like this

http://babblemur.com/blog/?feed=rss2&cat=N

where N is the category number. So,

http://babblemur.com/blog/?feed=rss2&cat=3

is the feed.

Tried it.

Didn't work.

how about this

http://babblemur.com/blog/wp-rss2.php?cat=3

Still didn't work

But it did give a different error than last time.
