Hi Everyone. My heartfelt gratitude for all the work you are doing for America. And for keeping us updated, which I eagerly seek. I've sent articles to many newspapers with no response. I think they have their heads in the sand! And I know you don't have time for long emails. God is Blessing you all, each and everyone in 0 degree weather, fighting for our lives. I'm in Lantana Florida, have been sick and looking for a job, so not able to help much except for sending emails. You are making a difference! Sincerely,
Subject: Yeah! GREEN WE LOVE YOU!! Thank you so much for fighting for democracy!!!
Thank you so very much for doggedly pursuing a fair and accurate election recount in Ohio. This is absolutely essential to our freedom, justice, and maintenance of a true Democracy!! DO NOT GIVE THEM AN INCH, BECAUSE IN OHIO, THOSE THUGS WILL TAKE A MILE!! Again, thank you for this important public service that you have been undertaking with a tenacious and disciplined spirit. As a former long-time Buckeye who now resides in Illinois, I can assure you that your work is both necessary (I once worked for the dubious majority administration in OH state govt.) and greatly appreciated in Illinois!! Keep on digging with discipline and thanks again for helping to restore my faith in "we the people"! -Ellen ...
Subject: A message to the Green Party, from the bottom of my heart. As a lifelong Democrat, I would like to thank you sincerely for the work that you and your fellow Green Party members have done regarding the Ohio recount. I'm sure that every one of you shared the despair I felt when George Bush was announced as the next President of the United States late the night of November 2nd. It was nothing, however, compared to how I felt when establishment Democrats seemed to turn their backs on the rank-in-file of their own party to "reach across the aisle" to the GOP, leaving us to fend for ourselves in this dark, post election landscape. I was raised by my parents, now long gone, to be a fighter for liberal ideals. To be progressive to my core. To never give up. They knew this day would someday come, and like a messenger from the past, speaking with their voices, I thought I was ready for the fight. I was wrong. More important than willingness to fight, is the understanding of what to fight for. Lost in the urge to win this election, to defeat this great threat to our society and way of life, I set aside my ideals. I'm ashamed to say it, but it's not only the truth, it's a rejection of the very answer to the deathly sickness our political system finds itself afflicted with today. I've been told that supporting the Green party isn't pragmatic. Isn't smart politics. The bitter irony of "don't throw your vote away" is stinging in the context of the fraudulent 2000 and 2004 elections isn't it? And now, at this late date, the words I was told so very long ago have come back to me with a new strength and meaning, like a long lost dream, at last remembered. Liberals and progressives will never gain an inch in this or any other battle until we stand by our principles. Until we stand together. I was wrong to turn my back to you. Selling out is never practical as one always loses more than one gains, especially in politics. So I will indeed reach out across the aisle, but I will do so to my brothers and sisters in the Green Party. And I will do so with humility and the respect you deserve for taking a stand when no one else would. So don't let anyone ever tell you that you don't matter. You speak with the voices of John & Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and others from the past of the Democratic Party far more clearly than those who are actually Democrats today. This is not lost on all of us. In fact, it may be the salvation of us all. In the days to come, there will be a reckoning for what we are seeing today. History will not judge this time kindly. We will all be held accountable for the things that we have done, and the things we failed to do. You can, in fact, feel the scrutiny and hear those questions today, if you look and listen hard enough. Like a final judgment, the answer will be our legacy, our epitaph. I hope I can be as proud of mine as you will be of yours. No matter what happens, thank you for restoring my faith in the dream. A new *Green* Democrat
